October 1, 2025 - Live Solano Give Solano Campaign’s Impact on MLP

Contributions to Mindful Life Project through the Solano Community Foundation's Live Solano Give Solano campaign will directly fund the implementation of our mindfulness-based direct service mental and behavioral health programming at our two partner schools in the Vallejo City Unified School District in Solano County—Glen Cove Elementary and Vallejo Charter School—throughout the 2025-2026 school year. Thank you for your time and consideration of our work!

Thank you to the Solano Community Foundation for hosting and including us in this fantastic initiative!

Mission and Organizational Overview

Mindful Life Project (MLP) promotes the mental and behavioral health of students, educators, and families in elementary and middle schools through mindfulness-based direct service programming. By transforming schools— often sources of stress and trauma for students from marginalized backgrounds—into safe and supportive spaces for healing and connection, MLP fosters compassionate, inclusive learning environments for all.

MLP intentionally partners with Title I elementary and middle schools in communities of color and low-income areas to eliminate barriers and address disparities our students and their families often encounter when accessing mental and behavioral health services. 93% of our students are youth of color, 76% are socioeconomically disadvantaged, and 40% are English Learners.

Recognized nationally as a leader in our field, MLP is the largest organization in the U.S. dedicated to providing mindfulness-based direct service programs to students in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade in Title I schools. MLP employs 50 full-time staff members and serves over 20,000 students from 34 schools across 12 districts in 13 cities and eight counties in Northern and Central California each week.

Witness MLP in Action!

During the 2024-2025 NBA season, the Golden State Community Foundation (formerly the Warriors Community Foundation), in partnership with Salesforce and Taube Philanthropies, selected MLP as one of eight Bay Area nonprofits as a Hoops 4 Kids beneficiary!

As part of this program, the Warriors created a “highlight reel” of MLP’s work (basketball pun fully intended!). We invite you to watch this short documentary, which provides an inside look at MLP in action and reflects the spirit of our mission and vision.

Thank you to the Golden State Warriors, the Golden State Community Foundation, Salesforce, and Taube Philanthropies for your generous support of our work with elementary and middle school youth, educators, and families throughout the Greater Bay Area and Central Coast. Go Dubs!
