Northwest Pops Orchestra

Northwest Pops Orchestra is the Puget Sound region's newest fully professional orchestra specializing in symphonic pops. We play what you want to hear! From Broadway tunes to light classics, movie themes and novelty pieces, we bring the magic of a symphony orchestra to live stages around the Pacific Northwest.

Founded in 2024 by professional freelance musicians from the area's theater pits and orchestras, the board of directors is represented by both patrons and creators who take seriously the work of producing symphonic music experiences that reflect popular culture. Successful programming in 2024 and 2025 included full-orchestra summer pops concerts and a holiday dectet of winds, strings and harp. We performed for the public and at senior living communities to high acclaim.

Help Northwest Pops grow and thrive! Building on past success, we are working to line up programming in summer 2026 for children, seniors and the general public. Our goal is to reach full-season programming with summer, fall, winter and spring-focused concerts.

In addition to supporting and showcasing the area's freelance musician "creative economy," we produce diverse programming of underrepresented composers that is tailored to  community desires. NWPO conducts polls to identify music selections the audience wants to hear, and we consider ourselves "the people's orchestra." Thank you for your support!
