You wish and hope and strive hard for yourself to live the best you can. You work to be satisfied and enjoy your success that you have achieved with one hand attached to another's hand. We all get our share of joy and pain sunshine and rain, love and liberty, happiness and misery. Then there are those that despite trying their best, face real obstacles that hold them back... while they too try hard, they are stifled by some real things that wouldn't keep them hampered if they could get just a little extra helping of love and support. One New Heartbeat fills some pertinent and real needs. We are a group of people who provide a hand up instead of a handout which can make the difference between failure or success. ONHB offers a wide range of individual, family, and group interventions that are focused on supporting participants that are dealing with significant challenges in living, helping participants with identifying barriers, and managing challenges Our staff and volunteers provide ongoing support to individuals with developing, tools, strategies, techniques and skills to deal with the internal and external challenges that people are facing.
Because of previous support, no one was left behind or isolated in times of anxiety, fear, or hunger. Together, we have bridged the gap between traditional medical, rehabilitation, and social models by providing effective support for mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being – all without religious affiliation.
At One New Heartbeat, we prioritize providing comprehensive case management and direct services to support individuals and families facing challenges like addiction, mental health issues, and relationship struggles. Our personalized approach focuses on nurturing personal growth, healing, and improved relationships. With your donations, we were able to maintain a safe and nurturing environment, empowering individuals to reclaim control over their lives, even during the most challenging times. Additionally, your support allowed us to facilitate crucial support groups for those facing life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, HIV, and HCV.
Although One New Heartbeat was formed in Redwood City, California and maintains a mailing address in that County and provides direct services there, the organization has relocated to Sacramento and operates through a virtual office connected by technology. Staff, contractors, and consultants work from community-based offices located across the State and Nation. With that being said, we are not restricted to one geographic location and have the ability to go to where there is a need. ONHB's onsite trainings are held within or near the city, county, and/or communities served by the agencies that contract ONHB’s services. Currently our mental health recovery, trauma, youth taking action, addictions and peer support groups are provided 8 times a week online via zoom.
