At Pawsitively Cats we provide loving care for our cats, medical care as needed, high quality food and special diets for our special needs cats in a free roaming environment with plenty of enrichment, including secure enclosed patios.  Sanctuary is given to those cats deemed unadoptable due to age, health or temperament and forever homes are found for cats who can be adopted. We provide the public with trap lending and TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) information to spay/neuter community cats. Our overall goal is to help reduce the number of cats living on the streets of Tucson.

We make a lifetime commitment to each and every one of our cats; those who will live in the shelter for life and those who are lucky enough to be adopted.  We are here for our adopted cats if they ever need us! Your support makes that possible. Donations from our community guarantee that every life we save will be safe for life.

So far in 2025 our largest expenses have totaled $209,000.  This includes $52,819 for food and litter. $38,853.04 for Veterinary care and medications. $5,571.21 for property maintenance which includes painting walls, replacing baseboards (cat pee!) and yard work.  $10,174.45 covered a new AC/heat unit and several washers and dryers and replacing cat scratching posts. Utilities and cleaning supplies total $9,655.

Thanks to the generous donations we received from our summer appeal letter to help us create a new secure enclosure for the cats and add security fencing around the property we have spent $22,056 so far.  That includes the cost of the enclosure, a 50% deposit for the fencing and the cost of getting a lot survey and site plan done and submitted for the permits. We are still waiting on the permit to come through, hopefully the fence will be done by the end of the year.

You can see how important your donations are for the cats. YOU make it possible for us to provide the care they need and keep their home in good shape.  Your support is greatly appreciated!

Please make the best donation you can today.  If you prefer you can mail a donation to us in leiu of an online donation.

Please enjoy a few photos from this summer.

The cats are enjoying the new spacious front porch thanks to the generous donations from our summer appeal letter.

Olivia, pretty little mostly while calico girl joined our Leukemia room this summer after she raised her litter of kittens. She was just a kitten herself when she became pregnant.

Juno, gorgeous orange tabby girl had to have all of her teeth removed this summer, she is feeling much better and even lets people get a few pets in before she runs away.

Gretel, cute, energetic gray tabby girl who loves to run on the wheel that was donated to the Leukemia room .

Dakota, adorable black and white girl who was left outdoors to fend for herself and her kittens also joined our Leukemia room this summer.

Clark, handsome long haired white and black boy is happily living with his former foster mom after having surgery to repair his floating kneecaps.  Clark is also blind; you wouldn't know it though!

Vanessa, sweet senior, deaf calico girl who was adopted when she was a kitten returned to us this summer after spending some time at PACC where she had surgery to remove masses from her ears.  She recently had to have a tumor removed from her neck and is scheduled to follow up with the Veterinary oncology specialists to find out if she needs any further treatment.

Ozzie, beautiful long-haired Siamese mix boy just had surgery to remove painful masses that were causing chronic infections from both of his ears. He is one-week post-surgery and is recovering nicely.  He is deaf now but will not have more painful infections.

Markos, handsome orange tabby boy also had surgery to remove masses from his ears the same day Ozzie did.  He is recovering well and getting used to being deaf.  He no longer needs to have daily medications in his ears, which he hated.  Due to the size of the masses and constant infection these boys had their hearing was already diminished, they are both doing well adjusting to their total hearing loss.
