PFLAG Danville-San Ramon Valley

PFLAG is the nation's largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them. We support families, educate allies and advocate for equality through our network of supporters, members, and chapters across the country. In the Danville-San Ramon Valley, LGBTQ+ people and those who love them are served by PFLAG Danville-San Ramon Valley.

 OUR CHAPTER AND ITS WORK

PFLAG Danville-San Ramon Valley has been serving our community for over 27 years. We have worked with hundreds of families, friends and allies to help them become the best support they can be for our LGBTQ+ loved ones. We do this through:

**Monthly support groups for parents, friends, and family of the LGBTQ+ community.

**Maintaining a Lending Resource Library.

**Bringing in relevant speakers to further educate our members.

**We sponsored/mentored PFLAG chapters (Clayton-Concord and Lamorinda) when they were newly formed. 

We are also in the areas of advocacy and community education in order to ensure our LGBTQ+ loved ones have safe, inclusive, and equitable spaces in areas outside of the home by:

**Supporting local community and school programs aimed at supporting our LGBTQ+ youth.

**Partnering with other local organizations who work with marginalized populations.

**Developing and delivering education programs to the community and within our school district.

**Working with local businesses and organizations to create a list of LGBTQ+ affirming spaces

**Advocating for changes in law, policies, and practices at the national, state, and local levels.
