Located in the beautiful mountains of Callaway, Virginia, Phoebe Needles Camp and Conference Center will celebrate serving the community for 125 years in 2027! Back in the early days, the original two-story school provided education for as many as 120 children at a time. Today, Phoebe Needles offers a wide range of services including summer youth camps, adult lifelong learning programs, and facility rentals for various groups and organizations. We continue our Mission to serve people of all ages throughout southwestern Virginia by offering facilities, and a variety of educational, spiritual, and renewal programs designed to nurture people in their spiritual formation.

⛺ Camp PheeBee Summer Programs ⛺

In 2026, we are offering a total of 6 weeks of Day Camp Programs and a NEW 3-Night/4-Day Residential Weekender Program. Our newly structured summer programs are designed to challenge and nurture youth in a safe, faith-based environment.

⛺ 💚⛺ LOVE to Learn in the Outdoors, ThriVe and Explore! ⛺ 💚⛺

Day Camps: Designed for rising 1st through 6th graders, this is a 5-day, weekday camp with 6 unique, consecutive sessions. Activities include arts and crafts, nature studies, swimming instruction, and so much more! Join one or join them all!
NEW in 2026! Residential Weekender Camps: Geared toward rising 5th through 12th graders. These 3-night/4-Day programs offer focused sessions where campers arrive on Thursday and enjoy planned activities such as: Outreach Helping Hands Weekend, Star Spangled Family Weekend – 4th of July; Land & Lake Nature Weekend around Smith Mountain and Philpott Lakes. On Sunday morning, campers gather for fellowship and ministry before their departure and return home.

Supporting the Youth of Southwestern Virginia

At Phoebe Needles, our goal is to provide a camp experience that is financially accessible to everyone. This includes offering scholarship opportunities to campers at differing levels of need through community contributions, donations and grants. When you donate to Phoebe Needles Center Send-a-Kid to Camp you are providing a camper with the opportunity to spend the week participating in summer programs, regardless of their financial circumstances. Your donation directly changes children’s lives. We offer a structured process for distribution of financial assistance through scholarships and families experiencing financial hardships. Your donations help to cover the costs of tuition, programming, staffing, activities, food, lodging and the maintenance of the 78-acre property which houses the facilities that support our Summer Camp Mission.

As a Camp and Conference Center in the Episcopal Diocese of Southwestern Virginia, Phoebe Needles is a Christian organization which invites and welcomes groups and individuals of all ages and faith backgrounds who seek:
