Lindy needs your help!

Lindy is 25 years old and pregnant with her first child. She’s also in pain and afraid.

Raised in a large family in a rural area, dental care was never an option for Lindy. Her parents worked hard to keep food on the table and heat in the house, but dental visits were a luxury they simply couldn’t afford. 

The few times Lindy did go to a dentist were emergencies—when pain was unbearable and a tooth had to be pulled.

Now, years of untreated decay and gum disease have taken a toll. Lindy’s oral health is in crisis—and so is her pregnancy.

When Lindy met with her obstetrician, she received alarming news: her severe dental disease and gum infection put her baby at risk for preterm birth and low birth weight. Without treatment, both mother and child face preventable danger.
