Power Coalition for Equity and Justice is a Black women-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening democracy in Louisiana by building power through civic representation, engagement, and access in historically underrepresented marginalized populations- including Black and Brown people, other people of color, women, and youth.

Donations to Power Coalition for Equity and Justice support projects like She Leads, a program that invests in women who are working in their communities to change the trajectory. Our grantmaking philosophy is simple: Invest in women of color who are working to build their communities through activism, and we change the course of life for under-resourced communities, families, children, and cities, and ultimately the state of Louisiana.

Support our advocacy efforts. Power Coalition for Equity and Justice works at the Capitol with our partners to help push bills that will impact the future of our communities. Our focus on Health and Welfare, Education, Criminal Justice, Environment, Housing, and Elections and Voting Rights is a holistic approach to ensuring we continue to build power in underserved and underrepresented communities. We believe that people cannot fully participate in the democratic process until basic needs are met.

Help us expand democracy. Power Coalition for Equity and Justice is focusing this year on expanding the number of early voting sites to help reduce wait times at the polls and modernizing poll site changes and emergency election plans during times of disasters.
