About Us & Mission

RISE IMPACT is a non-profit, non-partisan organization, dedicated to helping improve the quality of life in St. Louis, MO, and other neighboring counties and cities. RISE IMPACT INC (Rejuvenate Influence Self Elevation) is dedicated to educating, strengthening, and empowering women, youth, and families dedicated to providing life-changing outcomes for marginalized communities. RISE IMPACT will focus on emotional well-being and community engagement. Our organization is driven to help and empower women, seniors, youth, and families to regain their strength while walking through lived experiences. RISE IMPACT will embark on the social determinants of health, equity, health reproduction, and more. Our FOUR PILLARS: Rejuvenate Influence Self Elevation through IMPACT.

Our organization is proud to support the community's Life in Bloom initiative, which aims to break the stigma surrounding menstrual health for young people ages 13–29. This event fosters open conversations about menstrual cycles, a vital step toward body autonomy during the transformative process of puberty. Life in Bloom launched on April 21, 2024, marking our organization's third anniversary, and will continue through the end of the year.

Period poverty impacts all menstruators, including women, transgender, and nonbinary individuals, particularly those who are low-income, homeless, in college, or incarcerated. Rising costs exacerbate this issue; Bloomberg reports that in 2021, pad prices increased by 8.3%, and tampon prices rose by 9.8%. Additionally, a study by St. Louis University revealed that 36% of employed respondents missed one or more days of work each month due to a lack of access to menstrual products.

Addressing period poverty is essential to supporting the dignity and well-being of everyone affected, and Life in Bloom is a step toward raising awareness and fostering change.
