Help Roanoke Wildlife Rescue Raise $10,000 for Baby Season

Every spring, orphaned baby squirrels, opossums, raccoons, skunks, and other native Virginia wildlife need help. Too young to survive on their own, they depend on specialized nutrition, safe shelter, and dedicated care until they are ready for life in the wild.

This Giving Tuesday, help us raise $10,000 to prepare for the coming baby season. Your gift will help provide the food, formula, medical supplies, and rehabilitation housing these vulnerable animals need to grow and recover.

Roanoke Wildlife Rescue is 100% volunteer run and donation supported. Our volunteers give their time and care. Your generosity helps provide the supplies that make their work possible.

Small Animals. Weeks of Care. A Chance to Return to the Wild.

Caring for an orphaned wild animal takes much more than a warm bed. Young animals may need frequent feedings, careful monitoring, and weeks or months of care from licensed wildlife rehabilitators.

As they grow, their needs change—from specialized formula and feeding supplies to nutritious solid foods and species-appropriate housing where they can develop the skills needed to survive in the wild.

Your support helps sustain that care, from an animal’s first feeding to its preparation for release.

What Your Gift Will Help Provide

Our $10,000 baby season goal will help fund:

• Specialized formula and feeding supplies for young animals who cannot yet eat on their own.

• Nutritious, species-appropriate food as animals grow and transition from formula.

• Medications and medical supplies for animals who arrive injured or sick.

• Bedding and cleaning supplies to maintain safe, clean spaces throughout their care.

• Rehabilitation housing and enclosure supplies to support recovery, development, and preparation for release.

A Local Resource for Wildlife in Need

Since 1988, Roanoke Wildlife Rescue has served our community by caring for orphaned, injured, and sick native Virginia wildlife. 

Roanoke Wildlife Rescue specializes in caring for native Virginia mammals. We are one of the few organizations in Southwest Virginia that regularly accepts and rehabilitates raccoons and skunks, and we also care for squirrels, opossums, foxes, groundhogs, and other native mammals and reptiles.
