Saint Joseph Parenting Center

Saint Joseph Parenting Center (SJPC) is a nonsectarian, 501c-3 registered nonprofit working for over a decade to provide local families with the resources they need to care for their children and provide a safe environment for them to thrive.  SJPC has a compelling vision of a world free from child abuse and we advance our mission through a community-based education program focused on needs of parents. Built on a belief that supporting parents is key to protecting children, SJPC provides parenting education classes in English and Spanish, relationship skills and employee readiness training, individual 1:1 case management and targeted community resource support to help parents change unhealthy parenting patterns and decrease child abuse. 

When parents are given the necessary knowledge, tools and resources, they can raise resilient, confident, healthier (both physically and mentally) children who are more likely to graduate from high school, vocational school or college. SJPC is growing to meet an escalating need for child abuse prevention services in local communities. We have served over 1700 families since inception in 2010, over 350 families in 2021, 22% more families in 2022 and SJPC will serve over 1,000 families in the next 3 years. CDC data that 1 in 7 children suffers abuse every year exposes the significant unmet need that SJPC works to address.   We welcome your support for the work we do educating parents to protect children and create healthy homes where children can thrive.
