SCM Medical Missions: Compassion in Action Across Borders

SCM Medical Missions, founded in 1999, delivers life-saving medical and humanitarian aid to those impacted by conflict, displacement, and natural disasters across the Middle East and North Africa, while also supporting refugee families resettling in Washington State. From our central warehouse in Madaba, Jordan, we coordinate the distribution of medical care, food, clothing, hygiene supplies, and shelter to refugees and vulnerable populations. Guided by compassion, cultural respect, and a commitment to human dignity, our mission is to provide safety, health, and hope for a better future.

Salaam Cultural Museum proudly supports the work of Cune Press, a Seattle-based independent publisher dedicated to amplifying voices and stories from the Middle East and beyond. Through carefully curated fiction and nonfiction, Cune Press highlights underrepresented perspectives, offering fresh insights and historical context with a distinctive Middle Eastern flair. Sharing SCM’s mission to foster cross-cultural dialogue, Cune Press provides a platform for unique voices that entertain, educate, and inspire—helping build bridges between cultures, communities, and generations.

Caravan-Serai Tours, an award-winning travel company founded in 1994, specializes in immersive journeys across the Middle East and North Africa, offering both small group and private custom tours to destinations such as Morocco, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. Operating independently as a for-profit company, it proudly supports the mission of Salaam Cultural Museum by fostering cultural understanding through meaningful travel. With a team of regional experts, Caravan-Serai crafts unforgettable itineraries that highlight local culture, history, cuisine, and traditions—whether exploring ancient ruins, dining with local families, or wandering vibrant souks—ensuring each traveler experiences the true spirit of the region.
