Saving Cheatham Animals Mission PAWSible (SCAMP) was founded in 2021 to help the animals of Cheatham County Animal Control in Tennessee. As a small rural county shelter, CCAC does not have the budget to take care of the many issues that arise!  SCAMP was created to make sure the needs of the shelter animals were met, including spay and neuter, medical care, and shelter facility needs.  In 2023, we made the decision to branch out, and begin to tackle the problem of outdoor cat overpopulation in Cheatham County.  Too many unaltered cats in the community left the shelter overwhelmed during a long and costly kitten season. Thanks to individuals who donated specifically to fix community cats, a new SCAMP program was born: Fix Cheatham County.  So far, 47 cats were fixed through Fix Cheatham County, and we plan to keep it going in 2024!
