The Eastern Panhandle Empowerment Center (EPEC) is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and childhood abuse throughout the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.
For almost 50 years, EPEC has provided free, confidential services to individuals and families seeking safety, healing, and hope. Our programs are made possible through the generosity of community members, donors, and partners who believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live free from violence.
EPEC provides:
• 24-hour crisis hotline support
• Emergency shelter in a confidential location
• Counseling services for adults 18+
• Case management and supportive services
• Court advocacy and assistance navigating the legal system
• Community education and prevention programs
With outreach offices serving Jefferson, Berkeley, and Morgan Counties, along with an emergency shelter located in Martinsburg, WV, EPEC is committed to ensuring survivors have access to the resources, advocacy, and support they need—when they need it most.
Your support helps provide a safe place, a listening ear, and a path toward a brighter future for survivors in our community. Together, we can empower survivors, create safer communities, and help end the cycle of violence.
