Sml Gives

At SML Gives Inc., we believe no neighbor should go to bed hungry. Born out of the heart of Smith Mountain Lake, our mission is simple but mighty: to unite neighbors, businesses, and community partners in the fight against hunger.

We provide hope and help one meal at a time through three core initiatives:

• Mobile Food Distribution – delivering fresh, nutritious food directly to neighbors who are homebound or without transportation.

• Partner Pantry Program – supplying pantries, soup kitchens, and missions across Franklin, Bedford, and Pittsylvania Counties with bulk staples to serve more families.

• The Empowerment Center (coming soon!) – a hub of resources that will go beyond food, connecting neighbors with tools to overcome barriers and build brighter futures.

Since our very first holiday benefit, where we raised over $20,000 in support for local hunger relief, SML Gives has grown into a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit fueled by generosity and community spirit. Every donation you give stays local—filling cupboards, fueling families, and restoring dignity to our neighbors in need.
