Special Operations Finding Kids is a community-based organization founded in 2017 in the San Francisco Bay Area to find missing and exploited children who are most at risk of being trafficked for sex. The organization hires boots-on-the-ground private investigators to find and help youth in crisis.

We gather evidence that elevates cases of potential child sexual exploitation to the level of a crime. We work closely with federal agencies, law enforcement and other charitable organizations to proactively find and recover the young victims, and keep them safe. We work within our network to provide survivors with direct emergency assistance—housing, financial assistance, legal help, emotional support, counseling — so that they can begin the long journey of healing and restoration. Special Operations tracks the survivors and their families to ensure they are protected for at least two years.

Since our inception in 2017, we have found over 100 missing children, extended counseling and aftercare to 71 children and families, and identified and prosecuted 36 predators (mostly in California and Nevada).
