For more than 50 years, our staff, board, financial partners, area schools, and volunteers have worked to create systemic change by equipping youth – the future caretakers and leaders of our communities – to resist bias, bigotry, bullying, and violence. We accomplish our mission in Santa Clara, San Mateo, and Alameda counties by immersing school-aged children in age-appropriate social-emotional learning (SEL) camps that teach empathy, respect, self-worth, inclusiveness, honesty, and integrity, as well as the constructive leadership skills needed to disseminate these attributes among classmates and the community at large.

Camp Everytown is an intensive youth leadership development program based on core values – respect, acceptance, and responsibility – that promote non-violent campus communities.  The nationally recognized program focuses students' attention and promotes learning by taking them out of their daily environment and guiding them through intense interactions that provoke deep insight and empathy for others.

School Based Training, such as restorative practices can serve as an alternative to suspensions and expulsions and be used to improve school climate, foster healthy relationships between educators and students, decrease disciplinary disparities, engage students and families, support social-emotional learning, and promote accountability and two-way communication.

We offer in-depth, experiential Restorative Justice training for educators, school administrators and community members/law enforcement professionals who work with students. Our three-day workshop illustrates how restorative strategies can be seamlessly integrated into the classroom, curriculum, and culture of schools.
