Tapestry Singers

Tapestry Singers, the Austin Women’s Chorus is celebrating 38 years of creating harmony in Austin, Texas, the Live Music Capital of the World!

Please take this opportunity to help fund some of Tapestry's dreams.

During the 2024 - 2025 season, we’ve accomplished some wonderful things:

• Held two in-person concerts: "Charmed' in November 2024 and "Sing, Be, Live, See" in April 2025
• Toured in Salzburg, Melk Abbey, Vienna and Prague, singing in magnificent cathedrals, a monastery and a synagogue
• Hired local musicians and rented local venues for our rehearsals and concerts
• Granted a $3000 music scholarship for a high school senior treble singer in May 2025

Our plans for the 2025 - 2026 season include: 

• Organizing two in-person concerts, starting with our fall concert, "Sure on This Shining Night" in December 2025
• Continuing to hire local musicians and rent local venues for our rehearsals and concerts
• Granting more music scholarships for high school senior treble singers in April 2026

The Tapestry Singers’ mission is to:

• Encourage all women, regardless of race, color, sexual identity, or vocal confidence to explore their singing abilities.
• Gain through mutual support the skills required to perform confidently and successfully.
• Bring the joy and healing that comes with singing.
• Sing songs by, for, or about women and songs which offer a vision of a just and peaceful world.
• Entertain and inspire a larger community through our music.

We achieve our mission through weekly rehearsals, vocal workshops, sectionals, producing two concerts annually, and offering other performances in Austin.

Tapestry Singers welcomes all women and requires no audition to join.

Tapestry Singers is a member of Chorus America.
