Vanguard Landing is a one-of-a-kind intentional community being built right here in Virginia Beach for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to provide a beautiful, inclusive neighborhood where residents can live, work, and thrive surrounded by friendship, purpose, and opportunity.

This Give Local 757 event  we’re coming together to help our Intentional Community expand to have our next most important building!  This year, 2026 is when we are welcoming our first 125 residents to their new community and we are so excited! 

Right now, we’re in the middle of an exciting and important chapter: bringing our vision to life through the creation of spaces that will provide not just housing, but opportunity. From meaningful jobs to creative outlets, social connection, and everyday independence, Vanguard Landing is designed to support a full and vibrant life.

We are actively taking part in of this year's fundraising effort to expand the community amenities by adding our ENTERPRISE BUILDING! This building includes spaces with a Performing Arts Center, an Art studio, Van Dough Bakery café, the main Acorn & Oak gift shop, and more! This isn't just a building—it's a place where confidence grows, skills are developed, and community is built.

🏗️ The start of our Enterprise Building, which will create meaningful on-site jobs for residents through small businesses like our bakery, gift shop, and café. We're working to raise a minimum of $200,000 on Give Local 757 day to go take our Capital Campaign fund to over $1 million for The Enterprise Building!  

Join us now with a wrap-up on May 5, 2026, for this 24-hour day of giving — and help make history by being part of the first inclusive community of its kind in Hampton Roads!
