Warfighter Made

Warfighter Made is a veteran founded nonprofit committed to improving the mental health of military service members, veterans, and their families through Recreational Therapy, Camaraderie Therapy, STEM educational youth programs, and family oriented events that promote connection and healing. Since first becoming a nonprofit in 2013, Warfighter Made has made significant impact in the military community. We have provided over 30 Recreational Family Retreats, serving over 1,000 veterans and their families. We have provided over 15,000 hours of Camaraderie Therapy, building skills and confidence through S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) based learning. The organization has adapted over 25 vehicles for catastrophically wounded veterans, providing independence and freedom, while expressing each warfighter's personality. The B.O.L.T. (Building Offroad Leaders of Tomorrow) has served over 100 military children between the ages of 6-12. This is a S.T.E.M. based program that teaches students how to maintain a Polaris youth vehicle. From changing tires, adjusting pressure, basic mechanical fixes, and safety features, the students build skills and confidence, while developing leadership skills and learning how to be stewards of the environment. Our female service members, veterans, and spouses enjoy our Women's Camaraderie Therapy program through team building events like archery, kayaking, pottery and art classes, and more. This program provides a fun day of connection, creating friendships and support systems to ensure everyone has the resources and support to navigate challenges of military life, deployments, PTSD, combat injuries both seen and unseen, and more. Warfighter Made continues to expand programs and shift with the needs of the military community. Our goal is simple: to provide a place where each service member or veteran can turn to, for connection, and support for themselves, and their families. We are doing our part to foster good mental health, and fighting the fight to prevent suicide in the military community.
