Tuesday, December 1, 2026, is Giving Tuesday—our most important fundraising day of the year! We hope you will join us in supporting The Cold War Museum and helping us continue our mission to honor Cold War veterans, preserve Cold War history, and educate future generations.

Our work throughout the year depends on the generosity of supporters like you. Even providing basic services to walk-in visitors comes with significant expenses, including our museum building and exhibit space, storage, utilities, insurance, and other operating costs. Like many museums across the country, we rely primarily on tax-deductible donations to sustain our work. Our annual Give Local Piedmont and Giving Tuesday campaigns play an especially important role in helping us meet these needs.

This year, your generosity can go twice as far!

I’m especially pleased to share that the Museum has received $7,500 in matching grants from anonymous donors. That means every dollar you donate during our Giving Tuesday campaign can be matched dollar for dollar, doubling the impact of your gift!

Early giving begins November 17, 2026, so you can make your donation anytime starting on that date. However, if you’re able to give on Tuesday, December 1, your support will have an even greater impact. Throughout the day, several special one-hour Power Hours will offer additional opportunities to help the Museum. Donations made during these designated periods will count toward our matching grants and may also help us qualify for valuable Giving Tuesday cash prizes.

Whether you give early or join us on Giving Tuesday itself, every contribution makes a difference. Your support helps ensure that the stories, sacrifices, and legacy of the Cold War generation are never forgotten.
