Keshet envisions a world in which all LGBTQ+ Jews and our families can live with full equality, justice, and dignity. By strengthening Jewish communities and equipping Jewish organizations with the skills and knowledge they need to make all LGBTQ+ Jews feel welcome, we work to ensure the full equality of all LGBTQ+ Jews and our families in Jewish life. We also create spaces where all queer Jewish youth and Queer Jews of Color feel seen and valued, and advance LGBTQ+ rights nationwide. Visit keshetonline.org to join us.

Keshet's work includes:

Education & Training. We spark change at Jewish institutions by bolstering synagogues, day schools, JCCs, federations, summer camps, and more to live their values as communities of equality and belonging. Through individualized consultations, trainings, and special projects, our Education & Training team meets organizations where they're at, in order to help them make real change across the community.

Youth Programs. Keshet empowers LGBTQ+ Jewish youth and creates spaces where they can thrive. From in-person Shabbatonim (weekend retreats) to our weekly online programs, we're nurturing youth leadership and cultivating communities where youth can strengthen their confidence and pride. Many queer and trans Jewish youth who participate in Keshet programs are growing into the leaders and changemakers our Jewish community — and our country — need.

Community Mobilization for Equality. As more and more dangerous anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and policies are introduced, Keshet is mobilizing Jewish communities nationwide to fight back. We partner with Jewish organizations to prioritize LGBTQ+ equality within their social justice agendas and with secular LGBTQ+ movement partners to bring a Jewish voice to civil rights campaigns.

LGBTQ+ Jews of Color. We're cultivating a growing LGBTQ+ Jews of Color community across the country that celebrates and empowers people to embrace their full selves in Jewish spaces. Along with hosting online and in-person programming, we also develop educational resources for Jewish leaders and organizations to help them become stronger, more effective allies for LGBTQ+ Jews of Color.
