$40,000 Goal

Since 1982, the Sacramento Tree Foundation has been engaging our community to plant and tend to over 1.5 million trees throughout the Sacramento region.

We recognize the many ways that trees make our communities both livable and lovable, so we prioritize working with neighbors in under-canopied communities to make sure all neighborhoods can enjoy the benefits of our urban forest.

The health and vibrancy of our communities is directly linked to tree canopy coverage. Trees help to:

  • Improve public health and mental wellbeing
  • Protect our community from pollutants in the air and water
  • Provide shady places to play and recreate
  • Reduce temperatures and lower cooling costs
  • Honor the rich historical, social, and cultural diversity of our region

By educating and engaging community members from all walks of life and from all neighborhoods, we ensure this precious resource enriches our entire region with the remarkable benefits of a thriving urban forest. Your support means a green, healthy, and equitable future where everyone benefits!
