Titus 2 Foundation

The Titus 2 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to help students from non-traditional families navigate their high school careers and make informed decisions regarding their post-secondary options.

OUR MISSION: To develop underserved high school students into productive citizens through family, school, and community partnerships by way of monitoring self-progress, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and community service.  

OUR VISION: All graduating high school students will be provided with long-term opportunities and resources to fulfill their post-secondary endeavors. 

Founded in 2018, Titus 2 Foundation was birthed out of the experiences of our founder.  As a high school business education teacher for many years, she witnessed several students "fall through the cracks" for various reasons. She recognized that with extra support and resources outside of the school setting these students could soar and reach their maximum potential when provided with the necessary supports and interventions, hence our motto of “Connecting Family, School, and Community.”  She discovered that if students understood the value of participating in extracurricular activities, learned to appreciate their communities by volunteering within the community, and  monitored their academic progress in partnership with their families, they would be more apt to take ownership in developing and executing a sustainable post-secondary plan.

Due to the pandemic,  we were forced to place our plans to launch our program in schools on hold. However, in August of 2020 the first two recipients of the Towles Family Scholarship were awarded $500 each to help cover school expenses. Since then we have awarded over $10000 to 16 students from area school districts in North St. Louis County.  It is our goal to award renewable scholarships to follow students to and through their post-secondary endeavors. Since our inception we have added two addtional scholarships, The Dr. LaDonna Barnett Book Scholarship, and the JD Memorial Scholarship for current college students.
