Help Dallas Youth Find Their Voice, and Use It
Every young person deserves the opportunity to believe that their ideas matter, their community matters, and they have the power to make a difference. Youth Revive is a Dallas-based nonprofit working to close the civic empowerment gap for youth in low-income communities through character education, civic education, youth leadership, and college readiness. We partner with schools and community organizations to help young people build the knowledge, confidence, and skills they need to become active, caring leaders in their communities.

Our Goal: Raise $20,000 for Dallas Students
This North Texas Giving Day, we’re raising $20,000 to support Ignite Me, our character and civic education program offered in Dallas. The Ignite Me program gives students more than a lesson about government or citizenship. Youth learn how to look at the challenges around them, understand the assets already present in their communities, work with others, and develop solutions to issues they care about.

Through the program, young people build real-world skills like:
Critical thinking. Problem-solving. Public speaking. Conflict resolution. Collaboration. Networking. Self-regulation. 
Most importantly, they begin to see themselves differently, not just as youth, but as people who can contribute to their communities now.

Why This Work Matters
Too many young people growing up in under-resourced communities have fewer opportunities to access the civic, character, and leadership education that helps them understand their role in shaping the world around them. Youth Revive exists to help close that gap. We believe young people shouldn't have to wait until college, adulthood, or some distant point in the future to make a difference. They can start now! Ignite Me helps students connect the issues they see in their own neighborhoods with possible solutions, and gives them the tools to take action. Students work collaboratively on community issues and learn that meaningful change often begins with paying attention, asking questions, listening to others, and deciding to do something about what they see. 

And when young people learn that their voices matter, they develop civic character making our communities become stronger.
