Grateful Graves

    LifeSource's mission is to give people in need a hand up not just a handout, by providing not only food, but free clothing, childcare, adult education, and senior lunches.  

    The Kid's Life Camp provides a much needed resource for many local families. Prices of every day needs are continue to rise especially the already high cost of child care. Many of these families rely on Kid's Life after school and summer camp to provide a safe place for their children while they are at work trying to provide for their families. This program not only provides a safe place for these children but a fun, loving, and even educational environment.

   This past summer was my first year working with the program. In just a couple months, I watched many children learn and grow. The summer camp helps kids learn valuable skills needed throughout life. We aim to make everyday a learning experience and provide opportunities to learn about volunteering, gardening, teamwork, and so much more. We take each child's interests into consideration and plan activities to help inspire their creativity including field trips to local areas.
