Every day, our nation’s heroes rise to meet the challenges of life after service. Demonstrating remarkable resilience in the face of devastating injuries—both physical and mental, along with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). For many Veterans and 1st Responders, the journey home marks the beginning of a new mission: to reclaim a sense of normalcy. Despite the immense challenges they face, the journey is nothing short of extraordinary.
One such hero is Ronald Finchum, an Army Heteran whose life changed forever after being homeless for 10 years. U Matter 2 was able to provide him with a fully furnished home, and a steady supply of food. The stability of a safe home and food –things most of us take for granted –restored his freedom.
Ronald is not alone. Thousands of our Veterans and 1st Responders across the country are homeless and in need of support. These men and women sacrificed for our freedom, and now they need our help to reclaim their independence.
