GivingTuesday: Double Your Gift for the Gardens

Every program at Rest-Stop-Ranch is free. No one pays to walk the MargFMac Trail, sit by the Lily Pond Overlook, or join the Thursday Social.

In 2025, 150 guests made 292 visits to our accessible gardens in Topsfield: caregivers, people living with memory changes or long-term illness, and the family and friends who come with them. The Memory Café in the Garden, which we started in 2015, meets the second Saturday of every month. Garden Rx opens the gardens on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from April through November.

This GivingTuesday, your gift counts twice. Our founders, Mary MacDonald and Karl Ackerman, will match every dollar given to this fundraiser through December 31, up to $10,000.

Gifts from neighbors and friends brought in $25,471 of our $52,834 in 2025 revenue. In 2025 we spent $48,590: $26,408 on staff, $9,354 on garden materials and upkeep, $8,682 on outreach and the website, $3,271 on events and program supplies, and $875 on fees.
