2025 Cycle Across Illinois - Darric Miller

This will be the fifth year I am participating in Cycle Across Illinois, an organization and event that has become one of the most meaningful things I have been a part of in my law enforcement career.

Over the course of 4 days, we will ride nearly 350 miles as we honor the lives of our fallen Illinois heroes.

It is so reassuring to me that if I didn't make it back home from a shift, IL COPS would provide an abundance of support for my family, as they have for hundreds of survivor families, with fundraisers like Cycle Across Illinois.

I truly appreciate the support everyone has shown me each and every year. I can't wait to get back in the saddle and hope to see many of you along the route!

The 21th anniversary ride will begin in Champaign, IL on July 10th and end at CPD, Chicago, IL on July 13th 2025.

In 2024 there were 162 law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty in the United States. In Illinois, we had nine recognized law enforcement officers and three K9 died in the line of duty.
