Join Brose as We Give the Gift of Warmth!

Hello everyone,

As we are in the middle of cozy season enjoying cider and donuts, we’re also mindful that winter’s chill is just around the corner. 

This year, Brose BNA, JEF, and NBO are teaming up again in support of our Michigan communities. We're launching our new mittens and gloves drive to help those in need stay warm during the cold months ahead — and we’d love your support!

This is the 5th year Brose is joining Mittens for Detroit (MFD) in their effort to keep hands warm. Like previous years, we’ll be collecting and distributing new mittens and gloves for children at Rogers Elementary School (grades K-5) in Auburn Hills. 

With the combined support of Brose BNA, JEF, and NBO, we will continue our reach to help children, teens, and adults in need. 

In June 2026 MFD had a disastrous flood in their office, destroying 16,000 pairs in their inventory of 20,000 – leaving them with just 4,000 salvaged dry pairs. This means our partnership is especially meaningful this year. 

We’re asking for your help to donate NEW, WARM, DURABLE mittens and gloves to keep more hands warm this winter. Please note: MFD has asked that our donated pairs be storebought or handmade. MFD has asked that we please avoid the stretchy, thin dollar store type of pairs, as they are neither warm nor durable. Thank you!

Donation boxes for new, warm, durable mittens and gloves will be set up in the Brose BNA, JEF, and NBO locations from now until November 18.

Our Giving Page for monetary donations will be live now until November 18 which will allow MFD to purchase mittens in bulk and receive them on time for our December distribution.
