The First Repair Didn't Work
He's going to need staples to hold everything together and give him a chance at healing.
Bruce was found with a large wound. It wasn't healing well and the vet determined the best course of action was to remove the leg. That was two months ago and he just can't catch a break. The amputation site isn't healing as it should and now it's infected. He needs a culture of the wound to see if the infection is resistant to antibiotics because so far nothing is working. And to keep him from doing additional damage, the vet has bandaged the site and he will need that bandage changed regularly. We had hopes that Bruce would have smooth sailing after his amputation, but not everything goes as planned. Please help us get him the care he needs so we can finally get this under control and Bruce can go on with his life.
