Help Graydon Build a Better World | Costa Rica '25

We need YOUR help to build a better world in our local communities and Costa Rica in 2025!

This fundraiser supports Builders Beyond Borders (B3), a local non-profit organization that focuses on leadership and humanitarian projects. Throughout the year, we work on community service projects all around Connecticut. We have partnered with other local organizations, such as Earthplace, the Norwalk River Watershed Association, Wakeman Town Farm, and more. Each year, after many of these smaller events, we travel to a South American country and take on unique and life-changing projects in impoverished communities. In 2025, we will be working in the small Costa Rican community of Tarise, a rural area in the southern part of Costa Rica that is mainly made up of farmland. Many of these farms are dedicated to growing pineapple, as Costa Rica is the world’s largest producer of pineapple. Workers on these farms must endure incredibly harsh working conditions and often work very long shifts, sometimes up to 14 hours a day. Many of the impoverished families in Tarise work on these farms. In this region, we will be working with the local committee of AMPIT (Asociacion de Mujeres Productora Industriales de Tarise) to build a community center in Tarise. This center will provide a space for groups such as AMPIT to meet and will also contain classrooms in which training classes will be held for members of the community.

Donations to B3 will fund our projects and allow us to completely change the lives of countless citizens facing unfair or underprivileged circumstances. B3 is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, and all donations are tax deductible. All donations, no matter the size, are greatly appreciated and go towards a great cause.
