THANK YOU to everyone who made a donation during the week of #GivingTuesday. $2,430 was given in total. If you gave, you're helping spread community-based conservation to more places and protecting biodiversity. In 2022, we'll be working with communities in Peru, Myanmar, Nepal, and more thanks to our donors. We are so grateful for your support!

Please join us with a donation for #GivingTuesday2021 and be a part of the future of conservation!

We empower local conservationists to lead the wildlife protection efforts where they live. We act as a catalyst to create community-based organizations in places where biodiversity is threatened. We bring enthusiasm and information to local residents, highlighting the uniqueness of their area’s forests and wildlife, and then ask for their help to protect them. No community that we have approached has ever said no.

Community-based conservation has the best impact over the long term, it's flexible enough to be used all around the world, it's low-cost, and it's sustainable.

Please help reach our #GivingTuesday2021 goal of $5,000! Donate at the donate button above or at communityconservation.org/support.

Donations have a huge impact at the local level...

$50 can train one local person in community-based wildlife monitoring

$1,000 can support an entire grassroots conservation project for a whole year

Latest work...

Community Conservation has been working directly with communities to help them protect natural resources for over 30 years.

In 2021 our new projects are expanding a community forest network to protect primates in Peru and training women to do camera trapping in longhouse communities in Borneo.

This year we also launched a new Partner Network for the local people and organizations we work with to share ideas together! For the week of Giving Tuesday, we'll be highlighting our partners. Meet our partners.
