Chicky is an 8 month old Aussie mix from southern Virginia, and her story is heartbreaking. Found as a stray, she was brought to a rural shelter, where staff hoped her family would come looking for her. But days turned into weeks, and no one ever came. Now, Chicky sits alone, confused and heartbroken, not understanding why she’s been left behind. She’s just a puppy, full of potential and love, but the shelter is no place for her to grow up. Homeward Trails wants to give Chicky the second chance she so desperately deserves, but we can’t do it without your help.
