OUR Matching has increased to $35,000 for the final stretch!

This year, thanks to several community donors and businesses coming together, your gift will be matched 1:1 up to $32,000. It is our goal to raise $80,000 this year, and we’re aiming for 250 individual donors to help us achieve this milestone!

Your gift will directly impact our Circles NWA program, working to reduce poverty in Northwest Arkansas.

What is Circles? Circles NWA is a poverty reduction initiative that helps low income families pursue upward mobility. Circles flips the traditional mentorship model on its head and centers the leadership of those who have experienced poverty, our Circle Leaders. Circle Leaders are matched with 2-3 volunteer Allies who commit to walking alongside their Circle Leader as they set goals for upward mobility.

Circles has been in NWA since 2021 and since then we have started 4 groups of Circle Leaders and Allies. Each group has accomplished some amazing goals while building the strong support systems and connections needed to achieve and sustain upward mobility form poverty.

What is social capital? At Circles we believe social capital is one of the most valuable yet underutilized resources we have in the work to end poverty.  While social capital is a bridge to opportunity for many, not everyone has access to strong networks. Low-income individuals often do not have the valuable social connections needed to achieve upward mobility.

At Circles NWA, we’re working to build social capital for those who are working hard to pursue upward mobility, providing both the social support and networks needed to succeed!

Circles is an initiative of the local nonprofit, Innovative Poverty Solutions, started by Christina and TJ Williams.

Thank you to our friends and supporters of Circles for the generous matching gifts.
