Help Cross Your Paws save more lives!

Cross Your Paws Rescue started in 2018 and has since rescued over 3000 dogs including strays, owner surrenders, hoarding situations, and transfers from high kill shelters. We are a 100% volunteer run, foster-based organization. We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs of all ages, breeds, and medical needs! 

There has never been a better time to donate as this amazing opportunity presented by Michelson Found Animals- Savings Pets Challenge puts us in the running to win a $50,000 grant to use towards our mission of saving lives! Every dollar you donate gets us closer to winning our largest grant yet! 

Cross Your Paws has helped dogs with various major medical conditions, and we hope to continue doing so by building up our emergency medical fund. When we step up for a dog in need, the emergency bills can be quite unpredictable! From puppies with parvo to dogs hit by a vehicle on the turnpike, we will never turn our back on one of our dogs! With your support, we can confidently continue stepping up for dogs in need!

We have always and will continue to save the dogs that need us most. We have a forever foster program for the most medically intensive cases that leave the dogs undesirable for adoption due to the excess cost that comes with them. Cross Your Paws covers the medical expenses for those dogs for their entire lives. We currently have 5 forever foster dogs in our program. With your support, we would love to expand and enter more medically sensitive dogs to this program! 

We purchased our own van a few years ago so that we can transport dogs in need at any time. We use this van for our large transports from rural shelters multiple times a month as well as Emergency situation like the recent flooding in Kentucky that left a full shelter of dogs standing in 6 inches of water.  We would love to build up our transport fund so that we can continue doing this much needed work. Since working with Wolfe County Animal shelter in Kentucky, we have helped them achieve and maintain being a NO-KILL Animal Shelter. Without our continued efforts, they would be forced to euthanize dogs simply due to space and the overwhelming volume of dogs dumped on their doorstep. We are working towards the same goal with multiple other shelters. With your support, we can continue making a lifesaving difference! 

We have recently purchased a new building to further increase the number of dogs we save each year. We had significantly outgrown out current space, our founders' garage, and desperately needed to make this move to continue growing our rescue. We will be opening a resale shop in the building to help bring in funds to support our mission of saving dogs of all ages, breeds, and medical needs!
