Trails UP in the Field Saving Lives

Despite the overwhelming demand on Homeward Trails at the moment due to shelters being at capacity and the ongoing need for hurricane evacuations, our Trails UP team is out in the field once again in Danville, VA providing lifesaving Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return and medical and supply support to kitty owners and caregivers in the community.  

54 cats will now be sterilized an vaccinated this week as well as hundreds of pounds of food being given to folks who desperately need help feeding the cats they care for. 

This is some of the most important work we do as an organization - preventing animals from being born outdoors and helping loving caretakers adequately feed and care for the kitties they love so much.  So many people we help tell us that they don't know what they would do without our help - how to find that extra dollar to feed the kitties or how to fathom finding the money to get the kitties sterilized - something we offer completely free of charge.
