Domingo's Lonely After a Year at the Shelter

Domingo is a 2 years old sweet Lab/Hound mix with his whole life ahead of him. But for the past year, through no fault of his own, he has known nothing but the cold walls of a shelter in Southern Virginia. Every day, Domingo waits. He watches other dogs come and go, their tails wagging as they head off to new homes. But no one has come for Domingo. He sits in his cage, scared, confused, and utterly alone. Life in a shelter is heartbreaking. Dogs like Domingo don’t get the love, the walks, or the warm laps they dream of. Instead, they spend their days listening to the echoes of barking and the silence of being overlooked. Domingo would love nothing more than a chance to come to Homeward Trails, where we can help him find the family he deserves. But we cannot do it without you. Donations are desperately needed to cover his transport and care. Without them, Domingo could spend his entire life behind shelter bars, never knowing what it feels like to finally go home.
