Little Elmo Just Wants a Loving Family

Elmo is a little 1 year old Shih Tzu from southern Virginia whose whole world fell apart the day his owner carried him into a crowded shelter, set him on the counter, and walked away. He didn’t understand why he was being left behind, and now he curls up in the corner of a cold metal cage, waiting for footsteps that never come back for him. For a little lap dog who lived for companionship, the loneliness is crushing. Homeward Trails can’t stand the thought of Elmo spending one more night trembling in that kennel, but they can only save him if they raise the funds to bring him to safety. Without help, this sweet boy may never know love again.
