Jason will be attempting to climb Mount Everest without the use of supplemental oxygen in an effort to bring awareness to the fallen service members of our country and the hidden issues of PTSD and suicide which are now afflicting many who are and have served through Green Beret Racing Foundation. If Jason reaches his goal of $25,000 he will be posting and sharing his journey at:

Growing up in the southwestern Colorado town of Nucla, Jason honed his hiking, hunting, and fishing skills. Learning at an early age to have appreciation, respect, and passion for the mountains, nature and outdoors, his early life-lessons have enabled him to pursue and achieve the seemingly unachievable in numerous, personal and professional endeavors.
Jason became a team member with Green Beret Racing following his recent Top 10 finish at the Moab 240 Mile Endurance Run.
Since enlisting in the United States Marine Corps in 2003 and over 18 years of military service, he has served in 10 deployments as a Marine, civilian contractor, and Green Beret.
During the upcoming Himalayan climbing season of 2022 (April-June), Jason will be on expedition to climb and summit Mount Everest in Nepal without the use of supplemental oxygen; a challenge few have achieved.
Through his efforts, Jason intends to demonstrate that with passion, preparation and planning, one can persevere and push through pain and hardships to accomplish the goal.
Key to his inspiration to accomplish the mission are his fellow service members. Your support for Jason and the Green Beret Racing Team will further their efforts to provide critical, suicide prevention programs within the United States Special Forces.
About GBR:
The US Army's Special Forces aka Green Berets can trace it lineage back to WWII and has spent every day since at the forefront of our nations conflicts. From Korea and Vietnam, to Desert Storm, Iraq, Afghanistan, and a whole list of others not listed in history books, our Green Berets have defended and laid down their lives for our freedom.
In recent conflicts, the Green Berets have accepted an unprecedented amount of casualties. It comes at more of a cost than can be seen by the naked eye. Domestic abuse cases have continued to rise. PTSD is such common place now that it is almost a given that members of the Special Operations community have it. Suicide rates among Special Operations is 30 percent higher than the the military average.
Green Beret Racing is more than a few guys getting together to go fast, look cool, and invent new curse words when working on our machines. We are working to create a community where you look forward to the alarm clock. A place where you can find your adrenaline fix, be a part of a team with a driven purpose, and ultimately, find a purpose that takes you beyond the bottle calling your name or the nightmares that keep you awake at night.
Please support Green Beret Racing in this effort to provide an outlet and support mechanism as a means to combat suicide within the United States Special Forces.
