In a quiet corner of southwest Arkansas, our shelter for the past 20 years, has done its best to provide safety, comfort, and love to the pets who need us most. But sitting beside a busy railroad track—with trains rumbling by day and night—our outdoor dog kennels tremble with every passing engine. And this past April, our shelter endured flash flooding for the secondtime. Though we cleaned, repaired, and moved back in, we knew in our hearts that this old building simply can’t protect our animals forever. We have to move. We have to rebuild. A generous charity foundation all the way in Arizona has heard our story and our determination—and reached out with an incredible offer of hope. They pledged to match at least $200,000 toward our new shelter building fund so the first $200,000 donated by our community and supporters will now be doubled, bringing us closer to a safe, modern, and flood-free home for the animals who depend on us.
