Huey Doesn’t Want To Spend Another Night Alone

Huey is only 1 year old, and already the only home he knew is gone. This sweet Terrier mix was surrendered by his owner to one of our partner shelters in southwest Virginia, and he has no way of understanding why the person he depended on walked away without him. One day he had a home, familiar smells, familiar voices, and someone he thought he belonged to, and now he is sitting in a shelter kennel surrounded by strangers, noise, and uncertainty. At just a year old, Huey should be discovering how wonderful life can be, not learning how quickly everything familiar can disappear. He has nowhere to go and no family coming back for him. Homeward Trails wants to bring Huey to safety and give him the chance to start over in a loving foster home, but we need donations and sponsors to make that possible. Please help us save Huey. He has already been left behind once. We don’t want him to spend another day wondering why no one has come back for him.
