Saving Howler Monkeys Together 🐒❤️

Working in the rehabilitation of wildlife has been an absolute dream come true, one of the best parts of it has been working with howler monkeys. 

I first fell in love with howler monkeys while volunteering in Chiapas, Mexico. Their intelligence, charisma and complex social relationships never ceases to amaze me. 

Later on I had the opportunity to do an internship working with Toucan Rescue Ranch where one of my favorite activities was watching the wild howler monkeys with my friend Tesa who had also worked with them before and shared my passion for these amazing animals. 

During my time in Toucan Rescue Ranch I worked with an amazing team of vets, conservation biologists and other organizations who have been working with howlers so we could develop a program to start accepting injured and orphaned howler monkeys and give them a second chance to go back in the wild.
