 First of all, we cannot thank you enough for your generous support throughout the year for our lifesaving efforts. Together in 2024 we have accomplished a LOT for the animals and we hope to continue to do so in 2025 with your support.

In 2024, Homeward Trails:

• Dogs rescued in 2024 to date - 1,384
• Cats rescued in 2023 to date - 814
• Total cat sterilizations through our Trails UP program - 785
• Total dog sterilizations through our Trails UP program - 142

In 2024, our Trails UP added a new community - Danville, Virginia - where the local humane society kills 83% of the animals it takes in. Our efforts in this community are more needed than ever. Our Trails UP team conducted 9 Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) events providing lifesaving services and helping prevent more animals from entering the shelter. 

Homeward Trails is doing what no other organization in Virginia is doing in the most under-resourced communities where shelters, animals, and the people who love them desperately need help. Homeward Trails answers those calls for help!

We have so much more to do in 2025 and we have a LOT of opportunities for you to support our work. Cats, dogs, medical care, spay/neuter, transport, training, and more.
