A word from our principal, Jo Cullen:
Being a teacher, a principal, and also being the parent of a child on the autism spectrum, I know first hand the challenges that students with autism and their parents face, particularly when navigating the public school system. Having the opportunity to be part of a school specifically designed to meet the needs of students with autism was a very exciting prospect, and one I have relished. We are able to tailor our curriculum, our environment, the timings of the day, and our social activities entirely around the needs of our students.
Being able to incorporate social and life skills, as well as speech therapy in to our daily routine makes an enormous difference to our students and their families. We take a very holistic approach, always working to give our students the best possible chance for life beyond school, whether that may be a job or transition in to college.
Jeremiah School is an amazing place to be, filled with unique and wonderful people, and I can’t imagine being anywhere else.
Please consider partnering with Jeremiah School this season! Every bit helps us to serve our students!
