This #GivingTuesday Keep Hope Alive for the 1,000 Children Living in Hope Village, Somalia.

Your  gift will be immediately matched by TWO anonymous donors!

The Dr. Hawa Abdi Foundation (DHAF) supports Hope Village, a vibrant community of internally displaced people, located just outside of Mogadishu, Somalia. In Hope Village, we provide more than 1,000 children with a high-quality education at the Waqaf-Dhiblawe Primary School and the Hawa Abdi High School.

Until November 28th, we have two anonymous, generous donors who will match $10,000 to double the impact for funding the education of youth in Hope Village.

Our students have unique needs. Many have had their education interrupted or stalled by conflict and displacement. Some were not able to start school until their teenage years. Others lost family members in Somalia’s civil war. Others were forced to participate in the conflict themselves, as child soldiers.

We make sure our students have what they need to succeed, including school supplies and full meals. In addition to teaching our students core subjects such as English, math, and science, we are giving them the tools to become the next generation of changemakers in Somalia. In our high school we are piloting a human rights and peaceful conflict resolution curriculum.

Be part of our #GivingTuesday campaign and donate now to help feed and educate the children of Hope Village!

Your support today will be tripled by our matching grants – and will have even greater impact in empowering, educating, and nourishing 1,000 kids in Hope Village.
