This fundraiser supports, South Miami Children's Clinic, led by Dr. Tina Carroll-Scott who for 19 years has been a pillar in the community. Dr. Carroll-Scott provides exemplar care to the families particularly to those in underserved communities. She is the 24/7 doctor. It is her life's passion. Early detection affords families the support they need at a crucial time in a child's development.

As a mom of son who has autism, I personally know the importance of early detection. My son was diagnosed with austim at age 3 and we were able to gain access to the therapies which have made a notable difference in his social and emotional development. My son, now a tween talks all the time and has made leaps and bounds in his develpment thanks to an early diagnosis.
