Doodle Faces Death After Losing Best Friend - Help

MARLEY HAS SUFFERED FOR SO LONG.

This poor boy has had a very hard life. He was seen wandering around a rural VA town as far back as last fall - always with his best friend, a Lab ShepherdMarley & his friend las.t fall mix. No one knew if he was owned or living on his own. And no one did anything to find out.

Just days ago his friend was hit and killed by a car, leaving Marley devastated and standing over his buddy's body confused. 

A kind person stopped and got them both off the road and noticed that Marley was in very bad shape. We had to make a split minute decision on where he could go - and so we got him to the emergency vet.

Marley was found to be incredibly sick and after tests, it turns out he has a corncob blocking his intestines that has probably been there for some time. Under his very, very dirty and matted fur he was skin and bones.

Marley needs emergency surgery to save his life. Infection and obstruction are a combined threat to his life. 

He is so sweet and has been so neglected - we cannot imagine how miserable he's been feeling. And then to lose his best friend in front of him.
