Growing up in Eastern Kentucky, I was fortunate to be surrounded by the breathtaking natural beauty that our state has to offer. Exploring the forests and hiking in the hills behind my home are some of my favorite memories from childhood. These experiences instilled in me a deep appreciation for our environment and the importance of being a good steward.
Now, as a parent, I'm committed to passing on these values to my son, ensuring that he, too, can enjoy the outdoors for his lifetime. Environmental education and spending time in nature are not just about personal enjoyment; they are essential for cultivating a sense of responsibility and a connection to the world we live in. It's a legacy we can't afford to lose.
I work for the Kentucky Association for Environmental Education (KAEE), a nonprofit that has been at the forefront of environmental education since 1976. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to connect with nature and learn to be a good steward of the Earth. Your donation, no matter the size, will directly support our mission, as KAEE works to ensure that education about the environment will be taught in every classroom in Kentucky.
Your donation will help support our newest initiative, Kentucky Green Schools, which inspires and enables students to develop environmentally friendly behavior and feel empowered to take active steps toward creating a greener and healthier world.
Donate today and be a part of KAEE's legacy of environmental education. Together, we can make a world of difference. Thank you for your support!
