The family described is facing significant challenges, marked by both emotional and financial struggles. The mother, a single parent to three children and expecting another, is working hard to provide for her family amidst these difficulties. Her resilience in the face of such adversity is truly commendable.

  1. Eldest Child (15 years old, Male): He is a resilient teenager who enjoys electronics and has a keen interest in science and business. Tragically, he was involved in a hit-and-run accident which has caused him significant anxiety and changed his life considerably. He also has Asperger's syndrome. He likes wearing black and neon clothes, specifically adult medium-sized sweatpants. His life goals include pursuing a career in science and business.

  2. Middle Child (8 years old, Female): A vibrant and creative girl who loves drawing, coloring, and playing with Roblox and Toca Boca games. She is a fan of "Lilo and Stitch" and "Avatar." She wears girl's size 10 in pants and shirts, and her favorite colors are purple and pink. Her hobbies include playing with baby dolls and engaging in activities related to her favorite shows. She is also dealing with the impact of her older brother's accident and has a sibling with ADHD, ODD, and Asperger's.

  3. Youngest Child (1 year old, Male): A young boy interested in baby toys, books, and blocks. He is dealing with developmental delays and is receiving services through Suffolk County. He wears size 2T-3T and enjoys climbing toys or busy boards. He is also affected by asthma and lives in a household impacted by his siblings' challenges and the recent trauma of the eldest being hit by a car.

The family is dealing with food insecurity, and the mother, who is soon to be out of work due to her pregnancy, is managing the complex needs of her children, including health and developmental challenges. Despite these hardships, the family continues to show strength and resilience
